Contohnya, tempat wisata Gardens By The Bay yang diluncurkan pada 29 Juni lalu.

Salah satu hal yang menarik berwisata di Gardens By The Bay, Anda tak usah berpanas-panasan menikmati tanaman-tanaman itu karena suasana sejuk menyelimuti Gardens By The Bay.

Sedangkan tiket masuk untuk anak-anak usia 3-12 tahun sekitar US$15.

Top 10 Berlin experiences

Fifty years after the rise of the Berlin Wall, and now 22 years after its post-Wall rebirth, Berlin is a scene-stealing combo of glamour and grit, teeming with top museums and galleries, grand opera and guerrilla clubs, gourmet temples and ethnic snack shacks. Whether your tastes run to posh or punk, you can sate them in Berlin.
Despite its often hectic pace, Berlin functions on an exquisitely human scale. Traffic flows freely, public transportation is brilliant, you can walk without fear at night, clubs have no velvet ropes and your restaurant bill would only buy you a starter back home. Come and join the party and be swept away by the riches, quirks and vibrancy of this fascinating city. Here are ten things to add to the top of your list.

1. Channeling your inner-archaeologist at the Pergamon museum
An Aladdin's cave of treasures from ancient realms, the Pergamon museum is an essential entry on any list of must-see sights. Inside the vast complex, custom built on Museumsinsel (Museum Island) in 1930, is a feast of classical sculpture and monumental architecture from Greece, Rome, Babylon and the Middle East that will amaze and enlighten. Most of it was excavated and spirited to Berlin by German archaeologists at the turn of the 20th century.

2. Getting palace envy at Schloss Charlottenburg
An exquisite baroque palace, Schloss Charlottenburg evokes the onetime grandeur of the Prussian royals. It is particularly special to visit in the summer when you can fold a stroll, sunbathing session or picnic in the lush palace park into a day of peeking at royal treasures.

3. Losing your weekend on Berlin's sizzling dance floors
Berlin's reputation for intense and unbridled nightlife is rooted in the libertine 1920s when everyone from Marlene Dietrich to Christopher Isherwood partied like it was 1999. After reunification the club scene exploded, with the most vital venues taking over all sorts of dark, disused and derelict locations, from postal offices to power stations, bunkers to factories. From here, hard-edged techno conquered the world, using the impetus of reunification to tap into the simultaneous explosion of the UK rave scene and the popularity of ecstasy. Illegal and underground parties thrive, often taking over S-Bahn stations and trains, abandoned buildings, ATM foyers and other unlikely locales -- at least until the police show up.

4. Shopping for kitsch and couture in the Scheunenviertel
Retail therapy gets a unique Berlin twist in the Scheunenviertel, the ultimate shopping mecca for individualists. Boutiques here are edgy, stylish and definitely light years from high-street conformity. From couture to streetwear, home decorations to gourmet foods, accessories to art, you will find a diverse and mostly home-grown selection in this village-like labyrinth of lanes.

5. Standing before history at the Reichstag
Likely to give you more flashbacks to high-school history than any other Berlin landmark, this grand old building by Paul Wallot (1894) is where the German parliament, the Bundestag, has been hammering out its policies since 1999. This followed a total makeover by Lord Norman Foster, who preserved only the building's historical shell while adding the striking glass dome, which is accessible by lift.
In the '80s, megastars including David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Michael Jackson performed concerts on the lawn of the Reichstag, which rubbed up against the western side of the Berlin Wall. When word got out that East German fans were trying to eavesdrop from the other side, the stars turned some of the loudspeakers around, almost provoking an international incident!

6. Gaining insight into Jewish life at the Jewish Museum
Berlin's Jewish Museum (Jüdisches Museum) is an eye-opening, emotional and interactive journey through 2,000 years of Jewish history in Germany, not just the 12 years of Nazi horror that such presentations often focus on. This exhibit deftly navigates through all major historic periods, from the Roman era to the community's current renaissance, with stops in the Middle Ages and the Enlightenment.

7. Mingling with old masters at the Gemäldegalerie
About 1,500 works span the arc of artistic vision between the 13th and 18th centuries, with key canvasses by Rembrandt, Titian, Goya, Botticelli, Holbein, Gainsborough, Canaletto, Hals, Rubens, Vermeer and other heavy hitters.

8. Roaming, picnicking and carousing in the Tiergarten
Berlin's rulers used the grounds to hunt boar and pheasants before having them shaped into a public park by master landscape architect Peter Lenné in the 18th century. With its huge shady trees, groomed paths, woodsy groves, lakes, creeks and meadows, the Tiergarten is one of the world's largest city parks and a wonderful retreat from the city bustle. It is popular for strolling, jogging, Frisbee tossing, picnicking, grill parties, sunbathing and even gay cruising (especially around the Löwenbrücke).

9. Hobnobbing with high society on Kurfürstendamm
No trip to Berlin would be complete without a saunter along Kurfürstendamm (Ku'damm for short) in Charlottenburg. Along with its continuation, the Tauentzienstrasse, it is the city's longest and busiest shopping strip, lined with everything from big department stores to high-street chains and designer boutiques for size zero fembots. Amid all this, the Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church) stands quietly, if incongruously, as a poignant reminder of the absurdity of war.

10. Posing for pictures with the Brandenburg Gate
So where were you when the Berlin Wall fell? For tens of thousands the answer is 'at the Brandenburg Gate'. Who can forget the images of the crowds of euphoric revelers perched atop the Wall, hugging complete strangers and shaking hands with border guards? Amid cheers and champagne, the Cold War was over and a new era of hope and freedom began.

The best bar in Shanghai to watch the Rugby World Cup

1. The Camel

This is going to be your Australian Embassy during the next six weeks.
It’s well positioned right in the midst of the former French Concession for a post-game crawl around the neighborhood.
The Camel shows most sports, especially anything related to the land Down Under, and is guaranteed to be showing every second of the championship (at least until the All Blacks eliminate the Aussies).
But for a sports bar, it’s well lit and comfortable, topped off with great drink deals almost every day (RMB 25 beers during happy hour from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.).

2. O’Malley’s

The walled-off enclosure that separates O’Malley’s is offering up loads of specials during the Rugby World Cup, such as a RMB 350 all-you-can-drink bonanza on the terrace upstairs, which includes snacks.
Although you might expect that this is the venue for Ireland’s supporters, the Kiwis have taken over and are claiming it their home turf away from home.
To our disappointment, they weren’t showing the recent OZ-NZ game, but they’re promising to be blasting every second of the Rugby World Cup weekends from start to finish.
The great thing about O’Malley’s is, with their abundance of outdoor space, you won’t feel like a degenerate for spending your every waking hour there.

3. Big Bamboo

All of Big Bamboo's three locations around the city are top choices for catching any sport that could possibly be shown on television.
They’re always blasting championship matches on one of their many screens and offer up loads of drink deals every day -- and the Rugby World Cup is a guaranteed.
They’re promising seven weekends of full-on rugger action direct from New Zealand. If you arrive a little early, not to worry, there’s plenty other sports going on in the bar including pool, foosball and darts.

4. The Spot

This is your go-to sports bar on Tongren Lu with televisions keyed into the game and a slightly fancier decor than a couple of the other locations mentioned. It’s also prime real estate if you’re traveling with a large group.
The Spot gains points for their breezy patio and well timed (to the Rugby World Cup) all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink deal on Sundays for RMB150.
The menu is as diverse as the teams playing with options, spanning from European to South East Asian cuisine.
Bring your junior rugby fans and they’ll grab free food and drinks if they’re under eight, and 50 percent off for kids between eight and 12 years old.

5. Boxing Cat Brewery

Slightly an odd-ball among the group, being more American brewery than sports bar, the location on 82 Fuxing Xi Lu is a perfect haunt for the Rugby World Cup.
The main and first floors have massive projection displays and great seating inside this old French Concession house, and if things get too heated inside, there’s another projection screen out on the patio.
In addition, they have a great selection of food and beers crafted by their own brewmaster, Michael Jordan.

6. Glo London

Another random interception for the game is this recently opened British bakery/restaurant/lounge. If you’re feeling like your jersey is just a bit too fancy for the regular sports bar crowd, this is your spot.
It will most likely draw the Brit crowd, and they’re slinging their namesake breakfast during the morning games.
The Wulumuqi lounge will also open up their great rooftop terrace to relax when games are on, so you won’t have to suffer a walk of shame at 8 p.m. when your team gets rubbed like a piece of dry aged Argentinian beef.

7. Malone’s

This two level spot has a plethora of televisions so you’ll always have an eye on the game as you tuck into their massive burger menu.
The bar tags itself as an “American Café” but definitely has a sports bar vibe and is almost always guaranteed to be playing some form of sport.
As well as their large projection screen on the second level, they also have an outdoor patio that wraps the main entrance and offers up decent respite after spending too many hours in the dark confines upstairs when they close the curtains for the projection television.

A world's largest airport will be planned

London Heathrow Airport
London Heathrow Airport has topped the world’s busiest airport list (by international passengers) for the past 11 years, but the rank will certainly change when Beijing’s Daxing airport opens.
Currently under construction, the new airport will be Beijing’s third airport -- after Beijing Capital International Airport and the semi-military Nanyuan Airport -- and will occupy a total of 54 square kilometers with nine runways.

120 million annual passengers

Due to be completed in 2015, Daxing airport is expected to handle 120 to 200 million passengers a year. That’s twice, or even three times, the capacity of Heathrow’s current annual passenger flow.
The airport is planned only three years after the third terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport was put into operation.
More on CNNGo: 'Shoes off, please': China tightens airport security
Designed to manage air traffic during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the terminal was then the world's largest airport building, with more floor space than all five Heathrow terminals combined.
Even that is not enough to handle China’s fast-growing air travel demand.

China’s growing air travel demand

"The existing airport in Beijing has an annual capacity of 75 million passengers. Last year it handled 73 million," Cao Yunchun, a professor at China Civil Aviation University, told The Telegraph.
"In two years, it will be totally packed. And it cannot be expanded infinitely," he added.
According to Li Jiaxing, the minister in charge of China's Civil Aviation Administration, it is not possible to add even one more flight to Beijing Capital’s tight daily schedule.

The location
The Beijing government has yet to announce details of the new airport. No state-owned Chinese media have reported on the progress of the project since discussion over the proposed airport's location three years ago.
But according to The Guardian, Daxing airport will be located about 50 kilometers southwest of Beijing, in Nangezhuan, a village on the border of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province.
The new facility is expected to serve not only Beijing, but also the two neighboring cities and provinces as part of the Chinese capital's morphing with Tianjin and Hebei into a mega-zone.
A new expressway and a high-speed rail link is slated to be built to transport passengers from Daxing to Beijing in about 30 minutes.
More on CNNGo: China to build 55 airports in five years
China's air traffic continued to soar in 2010, hitting 268 million boardings, a 16.1 percent increase from the previous year.
China plans to increase its total number of airports from 175 to 230 over the next five years. The country is forecast to buy at least 4,300 new jet aircraft in the coming two decades.

Resorts that celebrities love

When you spend much of your life being chased by the paparazzi, rest and relaxation take on a whole new meaning. But where do you go when the whole world knows your name and your face?
Like most vacationers seeking a luxury getaway, celebrities look for a fabulous location, impeccable service and posh accommodations. Privacy, of course, is a must.
A-listers can also afford the best of the best, so they expect royal treatment -- and they get it.
When five-star hotels know they have celebrities in-house, they do everything they possibly can to accommodate them, including indulging any special requests, said Jacqueline Gifford, travel editor for Brides Magazine.
But the great service and hospitality at these places isn't limited to just bold-faced names.
"When you're paying that much money to stay at a fabulous place, they're going to go over the top to pamper you, whether you're a celebrity or not," Gifford said.

With that in mind, here are seven resorts used to catering to famous guests:

North Island, Seychelles
With its exotic location in the Indian Ocean, lush tropical beauty and a secluded beach, no wonder Britain's Prince William and his bride, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, chose this resort for their honeymoon spot in the spring.

The island is home to 11 guest villas that "blend seamlessly" with their surroundings and are "designed to celebrate nature," the resort says, touting its eco-friendly philosophy.
Guests share the retreat with tortoises and endangered species of birds, such as the Black Paradise Flycatcher and the Seychelles Magpie Robin. You might also get a peek at the coco-de-mer palm, which produces the largest seeds in the plant kingdom.
It's this combination of beauty and privacy that draws celebrities.
David and Victoria Beckham celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on the island in 2009. Actress Salma Hayek has honeymooned there.

Le Sirenuse, Positano, Italy
Italy's Amalfi Coast is one of the most picturesque corners of the planet, and it's here that you'll find the legendary Le Sirenuse in the village of Positano.
"It's a beautiful hotel," said Roberto Agostini of Precision Travel. "It's recognized all over the world as one of the top hotels in the area."

He also praised its location, which is near all of the village's shopping and dining.
"You walk out and you are there where the action is," Agostini said.
Almost all of the resort's 59 rooms and suites look out over the bay of Positano, and most have a private terrace or balcony.
You'll also find spectacular views at the hotel's La Sponda restaurant, where 400 candles are lit during dinner to create a romantic atmosphere for guests feasting on Neapolitan cuisine.
Actress Reese Witherspoon recently spent her second honeymoon at the hotel -- this time with her new husband, Jim Toth.

Sandy Lane, St. James, Barbados
Set on the Caribbean island's upscale west coast -- often called the "Platinum Coast" -- the resort is known for its deluxe accommodations and signature pink beach chairs and umbrellas that contrast beautifully with the turquoise sea.

"It is a very, very, very high-end resort. It's legendary (for its) style and sophistication," said Becky Veith of Travel Experts. "The rooms are absolutely spectacular. They're state-of-the-art everything."
And how about this for privacy: The resort has underground hallways so that you don't have to see any housekeeping activities when you leave your room, Veith said.
There's also a spa that's "to die for" and world-class golf at the Green Monkey golf course, she added.
Celebrity guests have included Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Chris Martin, television personality Simon Cowell and singer Rihanna.
Tiger Woods rented the whole resort in happier times: He got married there to Elin Nordegren in 2004.

Hotel Hassler, Rome
Located at the top of the world's most famous stairway and offering a sweeping view above the churches, domes and rooftops of Rome, this former palazzo boasts elegance, style and "discretion."

Stay at the classic hotel and you'll add your name to a register that has included Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who took over part of the Hassler before their wedding in 2006; Jennifer Lopez; Leonardo DiCaprio; and many other A-listers.
Prince Rainier of Monaco and Grace Kelly even spent part of their honeymoon at the hotel.
"The Hassler is amazing because it's at the top of the Spanish Steps so you've got an awesome view of Rome. They have amazing service and some fantastic suites," Gifford said.
Agostini agreed, calling the view of the Eternal City "unbeatable."
"It's very romantic up there," he said.

Esperanza, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Just a two-hour flight away from Los Angeles, sunny Cabo San Lucas is perfect for a quick, relaxing and romantic getaway for stressed-out Hollywood types.

This luxurious resort overlooks both the Sea of Cortez and Punta Ballena -- or "Whale Point," past which humpbacks migrate in winter -- says Travel+Leisure, which has named Esperanza one of the world's top 50 hotels.
All the hotel's suites and villas offer ocean views. Some have private pools, a dedicated butler and private chefs for "in-villa dining."
This is where LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian honeymooned in May. Paltrow and Martin have stayed as well.

Le Meurice, Paris
With the Tuileries Garden, the Place de la Concorde and the Louvre all just steps away, guests staying at the opulent Le Meurice are in the heart of the City of Light.

"It's one of the best hotels in the world," Agostini said. "I would recommend Le Meurice to anybody -- kings, queens, anybody." (It's the kind of place where there are attendants inside the elevators to punch your floor buttons for you.)
Beyoncé and Jay-Z rented the two-story penthouse suite for $20,000 a night in April, People.com reported.
Gifford spotted Harrison Ford in the lobby when she stayed there, "which was very exciting," she said.
Past guests have also included Orson Welles, Ginger Rogers, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

St. Regis Princeville Resort, Kauai, Hawaii
If Hawaii is paradise, then this is an especially lovely corner of it, surrounded by five mountains, a wildlife refuge, hiking trails, ancient sea caves and lagoons.

"Kauai is a little bit more secluded -- it's a little quieter than some of the isles and the resort is on the very sleepy but lush North Shore," Gifford said.
"Every (suite) has butler service, they've got an amazing infinity pool, gorgeous mountain views -- it's going to attract a very exclusive crowd."
Exclusive indeed: Alicia Keys, George Clooney, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck all have been to the hotel.

Airbus and Boeing are high expectations for Chinese aircraft demand

China's--Airbus and Boeing’s high hopes for Chinese aircraft demand were on display at the Beijing air show this week but the ambitions of a homegrown upstart foreshadowed a tough fight for market share in the world’s most important battleground for plane manufacturers.
Their forecasts were consistent in depicting China as the biggest purchaser by far of new aircraft over the coming two decades, spurred by twin booms in the country’s business and leisure travel.
Boeing said China would add 5,000 commercial aircraft worth $600bn by 2030, while Airbus said the country would need more than 4,000.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac), the government-owned manufacturer, predicted the total would be 4,684, giving the country 15 per cent of the total global aircraft fleet, up from 9 per cent now.
Boeing, the current leader in China, wants to maintain a market share of a little more than 50 per cent over the next 20 years and Airbus hopes to increase its portion above 50 per cent.
But Comac, which has yet to deliver a single aircraft, has set its sights on grabbing one-third of the domestic market in the next two decades.
Initially at least, Comac’s ambitious goal will not bring it into direct competition with Airbus and Boeing. Its first aircraft, the 90-seater ARJ21 regional jet, should go into service next year.
The world’s two biggest aircraft manufacturers do not compete in this market segment, which is dominated by Canada’s Bombardier and Brazil’s Embraer, and is served by jets capable of carrying between 60 to 100 passengers.
“Most of the airports that China will open in the next decade will be in smaller cities and this will create more flight routes for the ARJ21,” said Tian Min, a Comac official.
But the real prize in China is the market for larger single-aisle jets. Typically served by 150-seat aircraft, it will account for 71 per cent of total aeroplane deliveries in China by 2030, Boeing forecast.
Comac’s offering in this market, the C919, is still at least two years from its maiden flight, but has benefited from the national prestige that the government has invested with the objective of breaking the Airbus-Boeing duopoly.
Comac has received 100 order commitments for the C919, mostly from domestic state-owned airlines, and it is hoping to announce about 50 more next month.
“The way this market works, they [Comac] will eat into everyone’s share,” said Ihssane Mounir, a senior vice-president with Boeing. “But we are not worried about competition. Competition is the mother of all improvements.”
Comac has been slow out of the blocks. Mr Tian said there would be no deliveries this year of the ARJ21, which is at least three years behind schedule. Industry analysts say the slow introduction of the regional jet could push back the completion of the C919.
Airbus and Boeing were able to tout minor victories for their next generation of aircraft at the Beijing show.
Boeing has not sold any of its 787 Dreamliner long-haul jets to Chinese customers since 60 orders were placed in 2005 but Mr Mounir said that discussions were progressing and could lead to more deals soon.
Airbus received a boost when China Southern Airlines announced that it would take delivery of the country’s first A380 superjumbo jet on October 15 and put it into domestic service two days later.
In trying to catch up with Boeing in China, Airbus has followed a strategy of localising its operations to a certain extent, assembling A320 aircraft in the northeastern city of Tianjin. Boeing has chosen not to make planes in China, though it notes that it has been the biggest purchaser of made-in-China aviation parts.
